How would you feel about travelling to Australia on a whim?

You are fed up with the miserable cold weather in the UK…you want to lie on a beach and sun yourself but you do not want to travel for too long to get to that beach. Forget Spain and the overpopulated Spanish Costa’s. Forget dingy Ibiza. Forget the Canaries. Definitely forget Portugal if you value your kid’s safety and well-being.

 How would you like to jet off to Sydney Australia and be there in just four hours? I would if I could! Believe it or not a new aircraft is being developed that will do just this.

Flying at more than twice the speed of Concorde and five times the speed of sound, this hypersonic airliner is set to be the future of modern air travel. Looking like a supersonic passenger plane from Gerry Anderson’s Thunderbirds, the revolutionary aircraft with a top speed of 3,400mph aims to fly between London (or Brussels) and Sydney in under five hours. Billed as the “Son of Concorde”, the commercial plane is designed to carry 300 passengers and will reach speeds of Mach 5 – five times the speed of sound.

Sounds good to me. Where can I get a ticket?…
