Housewives love the internet
January 4, 2009 on 1:30 pm | In Culture | No CommentsA recent study showed that most housewives now spend up to 40% of their day on the internet. I dont know what this study was meant to achieve – or what the point was.
The fact is that MOST of us spend a good deal of the day online now and housewives count for those people as well.
Many Mums now run a successful home business using their spare time and computer thus enabling them the chance to be creative and financially independent by earning their own money.
In many ways the WWW has been a godsend to housewives everywhere – no more isolation and boredom.

Did John Titor lose his watch…?
January 4, 2009 on 1:12 pm | In Magic, Science Fiction Technology | No CommentsOne of the most fascinating things to consider is the possibility of time travel. Plenty of people discuss it, plenty discount it and certainly plenty believe it is possible. In fact, we even have the name of one alleged time traveller and it is NOT Dr Who.
We are talking about John Titor of course.
But something very interesting has been unearthed in China. A 100 year old Swiss watch has been discovered in a Ming Dynasty tomb that has not been opened for 400 years. Who owned the watch and how did it get inside a tomb that was last sealed 300 years BEFORE the watch was created…?
Watches were not around at the time of the Ming Dynasty, of course, and Switzerland did not even exist as a country back then.
How did it get there?
Sceptics are calling it an early april fools joke but there is no doubt that we have a hell of a mystery to solve here. Did John Titor – or another time traveller – lose his watch in that tomb?
Fascinating.

Dr Who…?
January 4, 2009 on 1:00 pm | In Culture | No CommentsSo the news that countless people have been waitin for is finally out – we have a new Dr Who!
Well, he will be the new one ut we dont get to see him until 2010. The producers did the correct thing in selecting a young unknown to play the master time lord and 26 year old Matt Smith will fill the shoes of the ultra-popular David Tennant more than ably.
I wonder what new innovations we will see in 2010 – will the Doctor make use of all the latest modern technology…? will he sleep in a high tech sleep number bed as he travels though time in his Tardis…?
But dont worry – we still have one moe series with David Tennant as the current Doctor to enjoy throughout 2009 but I can see some emotional times coming up and his stint as the time lord draws to a close.
They even considered a female Doctor Who. Sorry – there are some things which have to be considered sacriledge!
