The sun also helps the skin – in small doses though
July 28, 2009 on 1:36 pm | In Culture | No CommentsMy son has noticed a big improvement in his skin since we arrived here and have been spending so much time out in the sun. His skin has almost entirely cleared up of spots so the sun can also be the best acne treatment around as well.
Depends of the kind of acne you have though – rosacea does not like the sun so you would not be wanting to sit out in the heat and cause a flare up but mild acne certainly responds positively to some vitamin D in controlled doses.

Getting lighter by the day…
July 28, 2009 on 1:31 pm | In Culture | No CommentsAs we continue our stay here we have found that the best weight loss supplement around is definitely lots of water to drink as well as hard work and a hot climate. We have lost a few kilos each now in the past four weeks and it is still dropping off – too busy to eat and it is too hot to have much of an appetite where we are.
Not complaining though, we only have another four weeks to go here and then it is home again and back to the gym a few kilos lighter…great!

Since we arrived back here in the south of France for our two month engagement the weather has been very hot and clammy and we have worked non stop to get the place up and running once again after a five month absence. We have found the diet pill that works of all…
We have been so busy and had hardly any appetite at all with this hot weather – we have been drinking gallons of bottled water – but nobody seems to want to eat much so as a result we have really just been having a light meal at night. Result…we have both lost a couple of kilo’s in three weeks and with another four to go we should be nicely slimmed down with no effort at all!
