Do astronauts die earlier than the rest of us?

April 17, 2008 on 4:27 pm | In Science Fiction Technology |

Scientists reckon they do. Apparently astronauts get exposed to more dangerous radiation in outer space than previously thought and scientists are linking the effects with the onset of cancer.

But I wonder.

TakeĀ  look at Neil Armstrong - in his eighties; John Glenn - also in his late eighties and Buzz Aldrin who is aged 77. They are still alive and kicking. No sign of cancer there guys!

Not only this but they are all still active, involved and making big bucks on the lecture circuit. If anything I’d say going into outer space enhances longevity.
