How the internet has changed finding a job.

January 20, 2010 on 9:30 pm | In Culture | No Comments

It has changed it beyond recognition I reckon. I remember – not tooo long ago – when you had to scan the vacancies columns of the local newspapers. ‘Positions Vacant’ held the promise of a new job, a new career, a new way of life. These days it is all online – and you can look for jobs al over the country. You can look for New York jobs online or philly jobs online…wherever you want to work and it takes a few minutes.

Even the conditions applied to jobs back then have changed; you used to see Girl Friday jobs advertised and requirements like ‘must be blonde, must be attractive’ – try getting away with that these days!
