Jurassic desert ??

The trackprints of a herd of dinosaurs have been discovered on mud flats in Yemen and this marks the first discovery of dinosaur footprints ever found on the Arabian peninsula. Scientists know that they were made by eleven long-necked ’sauropods’ - the largest land animal in the Earth’s history which walked on four short legs and ate plants.

Previously not even bones or fossils have been found on the Arabian peninsula and now this fantastic discovery of these tracks show that dinsoaurs DID exist in this part of the world. The tracks indicate that the sauropods were following a river or waterway - scientists love finding tracks as they can tell from them just what the creatures were doing at the time, how big they were and whether they were herd creatures and how fast they moved.

This adds one more piece to the dino mystery - where did they originate and how did they come to be in certain places?
