Lets save the male species

Whilst I am all for advances in science and the medical field that make life more comfortable and less disease prone for the human race, I really have to say with regards to the latest research…stop!

Scientists are working to create sperm from female bone marrow, and why? so that gay couples can have a baby that is biologically their own. Now, I am not against in any way gay couples parenting children as long as the child is as nature intended - from a male and female.

But when something suggests that one half of our human species stands a chance of being made redundant through no good reason other than creating a new way for women to conceive; you have to object. At a time when the world is already vastly over populated and infertility already well catered for as a condition, we do not need to do this. We do not need to create humans from one sex with no contribution from the other.

It is the basis of human creation and should be left as it is. Imagine; a baby that is truly and literally fatherless.
