No troubles finding the cat at night!

December 13, 2007 on 9:50 am | In Science Fiction Technology |

Those times when you have stood at the back door at night calling the cat in could be at at an end going by the the results of experiments in Korea. Scientists there have cloned some cats by modifying the gene that decides their skin colour. In doing this it was discovered that the kitty cats actually glow in the dark!.

When exposed to ultra-violet light the cats glows a fluorescent red and this has led the scientists to believe that this could be used to develop treatments for human genetic conditions and help reproduce rare animals. Anyone remember Jurassic Park?.

I don’t know if we will ever see dino’s walk the earth again, but if they ever do, it will be a lot easier for us scraps of humans to be able to see them in the dark!.
