Picking up your masters online

September 28, 2009 on 9:24 pm | In Culture, Miscellaneous | No Comments

One of the problems that many of us face is that by the time we’ve gotten to the point that we figure a masters would be useful in our career, we’re into a very busy period of our life and can’t take loads of time out to pick up a qualification.

That’s where the Online master degree programmes come in. Sure you could do your masters part-time but that limits your choice to the local college. With an online programme, the world’s your oyster. Well, in theory at least. The snag is that, at the moment, there are a limited number of top rated colleges offering online programmes and, of course, there’s not much point in choosing outside the top rated colleges.

Funnily enough the reason that many of the top rated colleges don’t offer their programmes online is that they feel that it would diminish the quality of their offerings. However, in practice these online programmes often attract a very high quality group of professionals who a) couldn’t fit in a conventional form of education and b) have extremely high expectations and demands of these programmes.
