Remember when TV’s had knobs?

September 7, 2008 on 9:20 am | In Miscellaneous, Technology |

We are looking to update our TV - the one we currently have was purchased back in 2002 and just six years ago it was the top of the range. But going around the electrical stores these days it is plain and obvious just how TV’s have changed and how out of date our ‘old’ JVC has become.

Our old JVC does not have knobs and it was the first TV  I had which was fully remote controlled - I prefer the old ‘knob’ variety - simply because if the remote gets broken, or the batteries die, you are stuck.

Now we are having to choose between plasma screens and the new pop up tv which look certainly look great…but look to be a nightmare to learn how to use!
