May 21, 2008 on 7:55 am | In Culture, Miscellaneous |When you think about it it seems that all those ancient cures and ideas made perfect sense in many cases. The Romans used honey for various reasons and it is well known that it has healing properties; even garlic is acknowledged as a natural antibiotic.
So it is interesting that science is now using natural products more often these days to address problems and manage medical conditions; progesterone is a naturally produced female hormone and now it is being used to treat a range of conditions from dry skin to migraine headaches - even chronic fatigue syndrome.
