Stepping back in time

September 1, 2008 on 9:11 am | In Culture |

We recently stayed at the home of an elderly relative for a few days and entering the house was like taking a step back in time. This is a couple who never bothered to stay up to date with the latest technology; no CD player, no stereo except for an old transistor radio which has to be 50 years old if it is a day.

The TV is showing signs of wear and tear too - knobs instead of remote control and no home theater furniture at all of course. It was interesting to see how some people are happy to live their lives without all the modern gadgets that are ‘must haves’ in everyone else’s homes.
