Talking to your PC

January 7, 2008 on 8:59 pm | In Culture |

One thing I have always commented on around here is how long it will be before we actually talk to our computers. I mean, we use our home computers to store every little bit of personal detail about us nowadays. When you think about it they almost know more about us than members of our own family’s know. When you have dragged the mouse across the keypad have you ever wondered just how far advanced communicating with your PC can become?

Well, trust him of course, but Bill Gates seems to have seen into the future and come up with a new theory…actually, I think he is pretty close to the mark. Bill forsee’s a time when people will TALK to their home computer rather than type on keys and use a mousepad. He see’s the PC of the future as responding to a particular individual’s ‘touch’ and ’sound’. All through the science of digital technology.

Everything…controlled by voice, sight and sound…not ‘touch’ or ‘code’.

One wonder’s how long it will be before the PC answer’s back.
