Throw away your plugs

January 14, 2008 on 3:08 pm | In Technology |

A new device could mean the end of having to plug in your iPod or mobile phone to recharge them. A company in the US has developed a device that will be able to send electricity through the air rather than via a plug in the wall and is called a wireless power system. This development is closer than you think because the gadget is set to go on the market as early as next year.

For those of us with small children keeping their little fingers away from plugs and sockets has always been a nightmare; just imagine if these things were a thing of the past? Also this way would benefit those with arthritic hands, many old people find it difficult to handle a plug. No more power adapters, no more plugs.

This new technology will, in the near future, be extended for us in industrial and medical environments. The future is already upon us folks.
